Combined Jewish Philanthropies
Overview: Nancy has been an avid supporter of the Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP), the Jewish federation of greater Boston, for over two decades. Currently serving on the Board of Directors, Nancy utilizes her leadership role in Federation to promote the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities and their families in the Jewish community. In order to increase the effectiveness of its grants and advance special needs giving in the Jewish community, the Foundation has supported special needs programs of many organizations through CJP, these include Jewish Family & Children’s Services’ (JF&CS) CHAI housing and residential services program, and the Jewish Vocational Service’s (JVS) Connections career training and placement program. Most recently, the Foundation supported Pathways, a collaboration between JF&CS, JVS and CJP to expand opportunities for people with disabilities to enter the work force. The Foundation also supports a partnership of the JCC of Greater Boston and CJP, which is focused on creating programs and services for families and young children.
